First Baptist Church Colcord is dedicated being active servants to our community through our outreach programs. Our mission is to make a positive impact by addressing the needs, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, of those around us. Below are some of the ways we are actively serving and supporting those in need in our community.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a vital outreach ministry in our church. Our Women’s Ministry takes the lead in packing shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, hygiene items, and other small gifts to be sent to children in need worldwide. Each shoebox is a way to share the love of Christ and the Gospel with children who may have never heard it before. Throughout the year, we collect items, host packing events, and pray for the children who will receive the gifts. While put on by our Women’s Ministry everyone is welcome to join in this ministry, bringing hope and joy to children around the world, one shoebox at a time.

Children’s Hunger Fund

Every year during Vacation Bible School (VBS), our church supports the Children’s Hunger Fund by encouraging students to collect their pennies to fill VBS coin packs. These donations help provide meals to children in need and bring them the hope of the Gospel. It’s a simple yet impactful way for our young students to make a difference in the lives of other children around the world.

Community assistance

Our church is committed to serving the community by offering assistance with for those who need a helping hand. Whether it’s fixing a leaky roof, mowing a lawn, or providing a ride to a doctor’s appointment, we’re here to support our neighbors in any way we can. If you or someone you know could use some help, please reach out—we’re ready to lend a hand.

Third Sunday Meal

Every third Sunday, we host a meal after the morning service, where everyone is welcome to join us for a time of food and fellowship. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with others, share a delicious meal, and enjoy the warmth of our church family. Whether you bring a dish or simply bring yourself, we’d love to have you with us!

Getting involved in our community outreach ministries is easy!
